IDXCarbon Received Carbon Positive Award 2025 as the Best Official Carbon Exchange in an Emerging Economy

Jakarta – As the Indonesia's official carbon exchange licensed by the Indonesia Financial Services Authority (OJK), Indonesia Carbon Exchange (IDXCarbon) received the Carbon Positive Award 2025 for the Best Official Carbon Exchange in an Emerging Economy in on 5 June 2025. IDXCarbon was the sole representative from Indonesia to receive the recognition in Carbon Positive Awards 2025. This prestigious recognition highlights IDXCarbon’s strong commitment and meaningful contribution to supporting the Indonesian government's decarbonization agenda.
Carbon Positive Awards 2025 is brought by Green Cross United Kingdom to 100 out of 1,428 nominated organizations consisted of several categories based on each organization's contributions to the Compliance Carbon Market and Voluntary Carbon Market ecosystems. Green Cross United Kingdom is part of Green Cross International, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) founded in 1993 that focuses on security, poverty alleviation, and environmental sustainability for a better future.

Inauguration of Indonesia International Carbon Trading

Jakarta, January 20, 2025 – The Ministry of Environment/Environmental Management Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (KLH/BPLH), the Financial Services Authority (OJK), and Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) officially inaugurated the International Trade of Indonesian Carbon Units through the Indonesia Carbon Exchange (IDXCarbon) at the IDX Main Hall on Monday (20/1). This inauguration marks a significant milestone in the implementation of carbon trading in Indonesia.
The inauguration was officiated by the Minister of Environment Hanif Faisol Nurofiq, the Minister of Forestry Raja Juli Antoni, the Chairman of OJK’s Board of Commissioners Mahendra Siregar, OJK’s Chief Executive of Capital Market, Financial Derivative, and Carbon Exchange Supervision Inarno Djajadi, Deputy Minister of Environment Diaz Hendropriyono, Head of the Fiscal Policy Agency of the Ministry of Finance Febrio Kacaribu, and President Director of IDX/IDXCarbon, Iman Rachman.

Jakarta, September 26th 2023 - The President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo officially launched the Indonesia Carbon Exchange / IDXCarbon. The launch was carried out at the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) Main Hall on Tuesday (26/9). The Carbon Exchange Operator business license has been granted to the IDX by Financial Services Authority (OJK) through Decree number KEP-77/D.04/2023 on September 18th 2023.
